Five Lives - A safety net for the unexpected and latecomers
We help players who miss a week or two of their tips, or who want to join us after the season has started and still want to play to win the season long prize competition. (Well it’s a long season and we know that sometimes players might not be able to get to a computer in time to get their tips in - for all sorts of good, bad, and downright silly reasons. We don’t want people to feel it’s the end of the road if they miss the odd week of tipping, or were a little late in joining, so we have an insurance scheme called "Five Lives".) Here's how it works:
If you are a late starter and join us at any time between rounds 1 - 5 as far as the main season long competition is concerned, you will automatically use the number of lives needed to bring you up to date, maximum five, as if you had registered and entered before Round 1, but forgot to enter your tips. The table following illustrates:
|

Otherwise the Five Lives system works thus for your remaining lives:
-
If you don't enter your tips by the time the round closes, we'll automatically give you the benefit of Magic Mike's wisdom - in other words, we'll give you his tips and banker selections. BUT
-
You've only got Five Lives - so you'll automatically receive Magic Mike's tips through our system only five times over the season. Thereafter you won't get any further lives and will score "0" for any round you fail to tip. AND
-
Other than the main season long competition itself, you can't win a multi-round or single round prize where you received a Magic Mike's tipping prediction in that multi-round/single round competition - you've got to predict and enter yourself every relevant round to be eligible to win.
-
When you use a Five Lives life, you lose your banker Last Man Standing competition life
So if you miss a week or two, or even up to five weeks tipping from the start of the comp', you're still in the main season long tipping game. We all have busy weeks, holidays, things like that where we don't get a chance to get our tips in, but we're trying to keep it fair for the people who make the extra effort to play every week.
NB: If you join as an active player after Round 1 you cannot be in the Last Man Standing game unless we run a second LMS comp during the season.
